Research projects

Denmark is facing a major transition to achieve its green goals as expressed in the current legislation and political ambitions. The challenges of the green transition require cross-disciplinary knowledge and cooperation – but there is much knowledge we are still missing.

To address the challenges and knowledge gaps in the green transition, the leadership of the University of Copenhagen has prioritized part of the research reserve funds for 2023 and 2024 to strengthen cross-disciplinary capacity building with a focus on nature, climate, environment, and agriculture. The goal is to create a better foundation for integrated, cross-scientific public sector support in the green transition, and the results should serve as a basis for future strategic collaborations with, among others, foundations and stakeholders.

Seven projects across all of KU’s faculties have received a total of 6.8 million Danish kroner for new and cross-disciplinary research in several knowledge gaps within the green transition. Below you can reach more about the projects.
