Resilient farming - Ideation meeting

Join us for the initial meeting of the GSC Researcher Network on Resilient Farming.

The network brings together researchers from across disciplines at the UCPH to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with resilient farming systems, including regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, conservation farming, intercropping, and strip cropping.

These farming systems are attracting increasing attention among farmers, policymakers and the wider public. The network investigates how alternative farming practices affect crop performance, soil health, nutrient cycling, biodiversity, ecosystem services, and animal welfare. It also explores the trade-offs and dilemmas that these systems create, including potential conflicts between productivity, profitability, labour requirements, and environmental objectives.

By bringing together natural science, humanities, law and social sciences, the network aims to understand how alternative farming systems can contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for agriculture.
